What to Expect
Your first visit begins with a comprehensive oral evaluation. If you are moving into the area please ask your former dentist to send a copy of your records.
When you come in for your initial visit please be sure to bring your dental insurance card if you have one, and arrive early to fill out your initial paperwork if you have not already done so. If you are on any medications, please bring a list of them with you to the office. If you need antibiotics prior to dental work please take them as prescribed. If you are not sure if you need antibiotics please contact your doctor prior to your visit.
What to Expect at Your First Visit

- A periodontal (gum) evaluation
Dental Exam & Cleaning
All patients will be provided a thorough examination at the first visit. This will include any x-rays if required. Dr. Poonam Soi and her team will provide the patient with oral hygiene tips and guidance for preventive care. They will also chart a treatment regimen if required to conserve and enhance the patient’s dental health. We will ensure that your first visit is very relaxed and comfortable. Our priority is to learn the needs of each patient, assess their existing dental condition, and discuss the optimal treatment plan as well as offer alternatives.
We utilizes digital radiography to gain a thorough assessment of our patients existing dental condition. Digital xraysprovide a minimal amount of radiation exposure for the patient. In addition, digital radiography allows the doctor to enhance the images to betterdiagnosis cavities and oral pathology.
Oral Cancer Screening (OCS)
Oral cancer can affect a patient as young as 35. Its important that a oral cancer screening is done routinely (every 6 months). The doctor will provide and OCS at every examination visit.
A healthy smile begins with a healthy foundation. A healthy foundation starts with the gums. Dr. Soi will examine the health of the gums and discuss any findings. Our team is here to help improve your overall dental hygiene.
